What angst. In unendurable emotional pain, unworthy to live... If Spock were human, he would be preparing to commit suicide. As a Vulcan, he has the option of undertaking the Kolinahr and killing his emotions instead of himself. Poor Christine, caught in the undertow of his agony. This story is heartbreaking - and superb.

oh, this was so sad. Really great fic, well written and different. I would love to know why Spock left, I suppose I should re read Lil Black Dog's fic, its been a long time.

This is very nice! I am not a fan of the Chapel character but you've done a lovely job of making her accessible and frankly, likable. Very well done.

I had to stop and think a while before I could compose what I wanted to say. This is one of those stories that seems to have no place and yet it fills in a void that seems to fit perfectly into a chapter of ST:O that hasn't really been addressed. I have to admit that the romantic in me wanted a different ending, but this exhibited deep emotional bonds that transcended merely sexual desire. To love him enough to let him go, to help him to go, is a deep love indeed which is not treated with the respect it deserves. I hope you write more of the two of them. Perhaps when he returns? That's usually where I set my stories. Live long and prosper.
