Why was this story abandoned ?

I hope one day you decide to come back and finish this. I know how real life and writers block can get in the way!

OK OMG I CAN'T WAIT TIL THE NEXT CHAPTER OMG!

Okay, so it's a few hours late...but here it is! I had to go back and read it to get myself back into the thick of things here. And there was A LOT in this chapter...A LOT. And I can't help but wonder if you're working your way towards hitting on some of the show plot line...?

I loved how we started out here. And dude...seriously...DUDE. I love how you seamlessly jump from one time period to another. That's something I'm still trying to get myself a good grasp on, but honestly you do it SO WELL. (I know there had been another chapter in your mind between the last one and this one, and I really don't think you needed it) The flow was perfect here.

I loved the three amigos, Daryl, Pru and Carl...I can't really put my finger on it. But I loved it. And then the sweet little moment between Daryl and Pru FUCK YOU... we should have known what was coming...I mean we all know the formula by now. Something happy happensDEATH...DEATH and HORROR. I mean seriously.

T-DOG! Man...T-DOG NO! Because of your ass I got to say that AGAIN. Man...

And then we get inside and it's fuckin' Deacon man. I have such a mental image of him now... GAH. And Rick and Hersh... it was so reminiscent of the ranger station...But this time. It coulda been just me but I swear that there was a glimmer of something. Something I couldn't put my finger on, but there was something in the little exchange between Merle and Daryl in which Daryl was able to figure something out thanks to Merle.

Then boom BADASS ANDREA! that made me so happy. I think I got everything from this chapter that I was seriously missing in the entirety of Season 3 with her character and I thank you for that. I love YOUR ANDREA... I LOVE HER.

And then you go and get poor Hersh's leg all bit up. And dude. the way you described Rick cutting off that limb...OH MY GOD. it was eerily perfect dude. I'm counting in my head and imagining it. GREAT JOB.

And of course, we're left with a lovely little cliff-hanger. As any good author would because well... that's what you do to keep the people turning the pages right? Deacon and Merle gotta still be alive... and Daryl's off to find the rest of the crew. Here's hoping his ass doesn't fall down another darkened stairwell huh?

HOW WORSE!? The men already found them again! This is the worse cliff hanger ever...lol I can't wait to read more. Your writing is great, keep it up.

I usually don't review in between the story. I only do the last chapter available to read at the time but I just want to point out I read The Old Man and The Sea. I won't lie, the book sucked but kinda proud of myself for recognizing it.

Excellent so far, I love how you've worked everything out to this point. SO relieved that Pru and Daryl finally talked and seem to be on their way to being good again. I hope that you decide to continue writing this story, I absolutely love it.

And I gotta say, I cant believe that your two fics dot have more reviews. These are prime examples of underappreciated fics I've seen in a very long time. You defy deserve more reviews for your work.

Okay. So this was a wee-bitty chapter (this comin' from crazy-pants can't seem to write something less than fuckin' 3k...) But boy-o did it pack a punch.

First off it was so AWESOME to skip back and see the Gov, Deacon and Merle in the aftermath of the girl's escape. I love LOVE LOVE getting those glimpses into the other side of things. As a reader it almost feels as if I'm getting a spoiler or something and it just whets the appetite just right for me.

Now. The Governor. Somehow you were able to tap into that cool-calm crazy of show Gov but still keep it on level with the crazy (dare I say more comic book like) Gov that you had introduced to us. I love that we got to see him in this light, his power over Deacon and Merle... and then this: "The moment I start letting you do the thinking around here, is the moment I willingly stick my hand in the mouth of a biter, you simpleminded fuck!" -followed by that awesome moment of throwing the chair.

I loved that. Maybe there's something wrong with me but I loved it.

And a bit off topic. so I'm sitting here reading this like OOoooo I hate me some fuckin' Deacon. Like mad hate. And then I remembered you tellin' me you had a visual of him, an actor that you found that was Deacon. And I needed to remember to ask you to send that to me. 'Cause I like knowin' what the fuckers I hate look like, ya know?

So Merle was great here. That bit of defiance in him that he didn't say out loud but was still there. That line about the way Educated people tended to be had me chuckling and agreeing, in an odd sort of way. But really what I loved was that moment where he was wiping his sweaty palms on his pants because he was uncomfortable. I'm not sure but it just tweaked some kind of kinship to Daryl there... his awkward feelings in the face of his leader and being there. I don't know...I love those little connections that aren't blatant 'hey we're related and have the same insecurities' you know? *shrug* that's just me.

Okay, I'm gonna stop babbling. Great Chap. Great look into what's happening on the other side of the coin. And so I'm obviously interested in the next chapter because this was set kinda close to after their break out right? and time has elapsed in your story...so...hmmmmm...

Oh and the idea of undead Eli in some dark room chained to a wall. Fuck you. That's awesome.
