I loved your fanfic! you are a great writer!

That was really good. I appreciate the way that you were able to give Hitomi more depth without changing the nature of her character drastically.

I had to check after reading all this, and I was genuinely surprised that it wasn't categorized as tragedy. It is almost the perfect tale of tragic friendship. And yet, Hitomi still doesn't know what Kyousuke feels towards her. She won't ask, but she may have to wait forever for him to tell her. More tragedy on top of everything else.

You captured the atmosphere impeccably. The still, dead atmosphere of waiting for something to happen, and you don't know if it's something horrible or something beautiful. Something is going to happen, but no one knows what. No one knows when. It's the calm before the storm, but you can't be sure there's a storm coming. Not much scares me more than that feeling.

Funerals are always sad. Hitomi having to endure Sayaka's funeral is even sadder. I can't think of any sadder funerals.

Why is the word 'fun' in 'funeral'?

And everything rapidly goes downhill, spiraling into oblivion. I feel bad for Hitomi here. Some semblance of stability with her friendship is all she really needs right now, and it's all she's not going to get. And poor Sayaka has gone and disappeared again.

I always wondered if he might not actually have been interested in Sayaka in that way. It's a worthwhile thought to explore. It does make me happy that Hitomi didn't want to be a scavenger, though.

From the start and the direction, it is inevitable that someone in this story is destined for the rapid into madness. Probably Sayaka. Possibly Hitomi. Maybe Kyousuke. It'll be a powerful read regardless.

You have written a wonderful piece here, and I wish that I could write something as beautiful as this. There was no rush, no time lags, no plotholes. All of the pieces fit into place, and it makes one of the most beautiful combination I have ever read.

I was always fond of Sayaka's character. Such a pity that she becomes the punching bag in most, if not all, of the paradox worlds. She deserves happiness, too...

Wow. Beautiful fic here. Just a thought, i really like the idea that Hitomi was there to confess in place of Sayaka instead of being the bitch the fandom hates. But well i must admit i dislike Kyousuke here for... ._. ok nevermind i'm sayaka-biased. XD. either way i thought it may be better if the reason hitomi was there was either because sayaka was supposed to go but since she disappeared, kyousuke had an extra ticket, or hitomi is there to record the performance for sayaka, hoping that sayaka could come back and watch the show. Or like... I dont know. Hold the recorder and a photo of sayaka in show that she's there for her friend and not so much of invited by kyousuke.

This is excellent. You've captured exactly how I imagine the characters would think and behave, and your writing is perfect. Keep up the good work, and I eagerly await the next chapter.

I know you call this an AU, but I think even in the canon chain of events, Hitomi's feelings in this chapter would've been the same at this point. However callous she seemed in the canon story when she made her ultimatum with Sayaka, she didn't seem like she'd ever take pleasure in being in this kind of situation (and no matter how you slice it, it wasn't really her fault).

Oooh, this is excellent. I don't know if you're going to be continuing this, as the "complete" tag isn't on here, but I'd be satisfied either way- your writing is excellent, but this chapter really is a perfect ending point.
