KalenCaelli chapter 1 . 2/10/2018 I loved this little story. It was hilarious watching Shelby shop and watching Rachel hit the goal. I played soccer and was always on the worst team so I can totally relate. |
pezberryrulz chapter 1 . 10/29/2012 Very cute. I enjoy young Rachel. |
Laby Anne Boleyn chapter 1 . 9/13/2012 I have to say you have it so correct about how shopping with a seven is like. They can't deiced and then they get panicky that they can't deiced, then they pick something and of course you hope and pray that they don't change their little cute minds before you can buy and leave the store. I so love that Rachel didn't realized it was her that score the goal, too cute. |
The Peppermint Field chapter 1 . 8/25/2012 This is possibly one of the best things ever! It's so adorable! |
Lcrazemag chapter 1 . 8/23/2012 Omg! You have no idea how much I enjoyed this! I don't think my cheeks relaxed the entire time! Thank you so much. I'd forgotten about that prompt when I clicked on it and my jaw dropped when I read your note. This was perfect! PERFECT! :D! |
Wandering1 chapter 1 . 8/23/2012 Fantastic Story. I love the way you write Rachel and Shelby's relationship. It is so genuine. Well Done! |
Notjustanotherperson chapter 1 . 8/14/2012 Personally, I've never been interested in soccer and like Rachel, I'm terrible at it but I love this story! Little Rachel is so cute, I love her enthusiasm, determination and earnestness in doing what she sets her heart to. I can imagine her as a tiny ball of energy. Rachel's reaction to homework over the weekend was the best, I wish I didn't have homework on Fridays! I know most kids love getting new stuff and obviously Rachel's no different. I haven't had to go shopping with seven year old girls but it isn't hard to picture what a tough time Shelby must've had. I don't know what Shelby meant by going to the bathroom to talk but I think I might have a good guess. Sigh, some of us just aren't made for sports like soccer. It is a shame that Rachel was so bad at it and her teammates and opponents laughed at her on top of that, especially after seeing how excited and determined she was to play in a group and improve her skills. Kids can be so mean sometimes, Rachel was really trying, it wasn't her fault she was kind of clumsy on the field. I really liked the scene with Rachel playing soccer with her parents. I'm glad they let her win and believe she scored even though it was the wrong goal and they obviously went easy on her. Rachel's happiness and reaction were so adorable. It's great that she got to score a goal in the real game even if it was unintentional and she finally got to feel like part of the team. I loved Rachel's reaction to the trophy too, how much she treasures it and how it made her feel special and accomplished. Good job, this story was awesome! Hope we get more one shots! |
w1cked chapter 1 . 8/13/2012 OMG I love your stories with Rachel as a little girl and all her parents in her life. This is such a wonderful family. Laughed when she scored with her parents and no one told her it was the wrong goal. As always, I look forward to reading more and more. |
sdmwd1115 chapter 1 . 8/11/2012 I so enjoyed this one! I have an 8 year old and that happened when he was playing soccer. And this year when he played basketball it was the same way - they all wanted to the ball and they all wanted to shoot. His team was actually very good though and was undefeated and as much as I would love to tell you he was the star he wasnt but when he did finally score - the tears in my eyes and in his makes my heart melt all over again. I hate shopping though so I can totally see how frustrating it is to go with Rachel Nice story - thanks for sharing |
