I finally got around to making an account and I just wanted to say, I love this story. I started reading a while ago and reread it all a few months ago.

I really like how you blend canon events with you world. Even more than that though, your high fantasy is just amazing! You manage titles and politics that can often come off as boring beautifully and balance them with good action pieces when necessary. In some way it reminds me of Butcher's Codex Alera. The way the characters have changed is all in keeping with the changed world and make perfect sense. You also manage to keep them in that character after you establish it very well. In short, I'm loving your work and patiently looking forward to more. Thanks.

I am a little confused by how Charles's grandfather inherited his noble title through his sister, the widow of the previous title holder. Wouldn't the Earl's liege get a say as to whether the new holder was suitable or not?

Good to see a new chapter. The enemy seems to be expending significant resources to weaken Daria. Good to see at least one of Helena's sisters (I thought that Henrietta might have been named Therese or Margritte.) I wonder if the third is a mage or possibly a priestess.

I've just reread this story and "Freewheelin" in anticipation of updates, and I found two chapters I never got updates for. I've re-followed this story and hope it doesn't happen again.
