This was so deep, and so touching, and I totally agree with you. Their mariage was bound to have bumps, and at least one near breaking point, because like you said, they aren't perfect and neither of them is used to talking much. But I totally believe they would make it work, like they did here :)
And this story was so, so sweet. The way Barney showed up both times? I loved it! And I loved the way Robin brushed her sister's hair in the hopsital, thinking of how quickly baby Katie grew :)
All in all haha, this was so sweet and very realist... Well done :')

Your description of them is pretty much spot on. Legendary!

I like the way you put in little details and events like, "That's what you told me when it was my mum, didn't you? And she pulled through." and "When she's confined to bed with the flu and unable to gather the energy to go and get food, a groggy call of "B" lets Barney knows that he's needed. And when her father dies and he's there, she says, "he's gone, B," and crumples into his arms with tears streaming down her cheeks," and"he's clad in his pyjamas and she recognises them as the pair she bought him in the Macy's sale last winter," it really makes it sound like its not just snapshots, its stuff happening in real time with normal life going on in the background. if you're looking for ideas, I'd love to see the one referenced when Barney's mum is ill, or one where Barney and Robin meet Ted's kid for the first time. This is a great fic :)

ah-hah, I just got back from China a week ago today and part of that time was spent in Beijing so it was very surreal to read a description of it in a fanfic all of a sudden xD so sweet though, I love it

This little snapshot was absolutely adorable (though I'm a bit reluctant to use that word, as Barney and Robin would probably be disgusted... ;P). To tell you the truth, just the thought of those two getting married is enough to make me grin like an idiot (I really, really, REALLY want to hear Barney refer to Robin as his wife in the ninth season; I think I'd explode...), but your stories are something special (especially since, if we DO get to see glimpses of their married life, it will only be through brief flash-forwards).

You do an excellent job of getting into the minds of these characters, and I look forward to your next update!

awwwww, i absolutely loved this one. i loved the use of "B" and how it just stuck. it's not too coupley, but still very personal and intimate. i also enjoyed robin's train of thought which explains why she doesn't feel comfortable using any of the common nicknames (reminded me of liy who couldn't settle on a name for her baby because all her kindergarteners ruined them for her :D).
i just love the way you write them in a very everyday kind of way. there's a balance there that shows that marriage has kinda changed them, but they're still barney and robin at heart :) so kudos to that and keep these beautiful stories coming!
(also LOL at barney calling her robbie!)
