It's a very interesting story and quite different of your other. I hope you manage to continue both.

I was imagining a future scene where Harry's group, without him, see Sirius in a pub and gets worried about what to do to protect Harry, until the boy appears and greets his dogfather enthusiastically. It would be funny.

I just found and read your story. I am looking forward to reading your re-write. I love these type of stories where Harry does not spend the summer at the Dursleys, and instead goes off to work, coupled with an adventure. All the while he is gaining rapidly in his magical skills. To me, I think these are more interesting than the ones where he is in training for the summer. While those can be interesting, putting Harry in an 'Indiana Jones' backdrop is really engaging. I like the OCs you've introduced so far as well.

Putting Harry in this situation not only helps his magical skills, it quickly develops his ability to socially interact with others, and matures him more quickly than the stifling atmosphere that is the Dursleys. I am happy to see he pushed back on Hermione as well. Hopefully this is the start of a more independent and self-directed Harry.

Can't wait for more!

I love teh interactiosn with Cara and I suspect she'll be teachign him rather more than either of them suspects; especially since both have aspects that will make other magic users, at least in Magical Britain, shun them.

A very interesting chapter. I wonder, though, why the medical exam didn't pick up traces of his close encounter with the basilisk and the subsequent healing with phoenix tears? In any case, it looks like this medical treatment is going to do interesting things in the near future as it corrects a number of outrages perpetrated on his body. I rather suspect that Albus Dumbledore will not be happy when he finds out about Harry's summer.

Some of the best Three chapters only I have read for this type of story. Such a shame that you never updated. I hate being let hanging like this!
