Reviews for I Love Summer OLD
Jay Sage chapter 1 . 8/5/2012
Oh my goodness the buildup to the end freaking killed me and I'm sad to say that I really didn't see the ending coming at all, despite the blatantly obvious foreshadowing. I don't know why, but I was really expecting a silver lining. That's just not how you roll though. Fun read none the less. Keep on churning these stories out!

Loved it, absolutely amazing. Lil' sad stories like this are awesome. I especially liked how you portrayed his voice, it was a nice quirk that made the story feel more real. It ran smoothly, the begining and end were tied together, you mentioned the festival early on, giving it a nice foreshadowing. Along with the warning about your heart being lost, great stuff there.

One of the thing about this perspective, is it's very difficult not to over use the word "I" and at the beginning of this story you did just that. As you went along though you got out of that habit though.

I also managed to find the one mispelling that drove me crazy. Those things are always there, taunting me, they aren't that big, sometimes not even big enough to go back and edit, but they are there, mocking me to no end.

"...as I flung myself upside down and dangled from the tree branck."

I'd say LRGR if I wasn't a new member, and therefor not allowed to post for 24 hours. So don't worry about it, most of the stuff here is just so you can improve in future writings of yours. Take whatever I say with a grain of salt though, it's your writing after all!

WOW! A story going into Gijinkas, that's interesting. I actually know someone who draws Gijinkas, as comissions on Deviant Art. They're pretty cool!
But besides that, wow, what an interesting premise! It's so sad when love doesn't work out, but you'd kind of be kidding yourself to think that it always comes out right, you know? You write very realistic and believable fics, even though they are set in such a fictional world such as the world of Pokemon. That my friend is a feat.
