I just wanted him to pull out that ring right there and propose! I could not believe that he tore up the receipt, I died right there. I think it was pretty awful of him to buy the ring just to mess with her, but when he kept it... You did a fantastic job of capturing Will's willingness to move forward with her, but his hesistance to have his heartbroken again. It is a delicate balance that the show works around and that you captured. Another great Will/Mackenzie fic, I'm just delighted I found it! As always, thank you for sharing and please post more!

I found this episode so painful, but I think this story actually helps puts things into perspective ... I had such a hard time understanding how we could go from the hug on Valentine's Day to him being mean to her again... I still don't like it, but I think I understand it a bit better.

One thing that I love about these two, and you've captured it here, is that they never really dance around any issues. They're not afraid to just say what needs to be said.
