You know, when I first started to read your story the name Shimuzu Yuki stuck out to me because that was the EXACT name I gave to an OC I made (I tend to do that and its kind of weird... I mean I make an OC for every character that I like/am attracted to...). I mean, their personalities are different but still :D. I really liked your story and how it is so believable. Anyway. This was sweet. Most of the prose has a lovely flow to it. Dialogue too. I love that there's a lot of dialogue - one of my own failings is I get caught up in all the narrative. So I admire you for that. (:

I would have liked to see more of what makes Marui MARUI, though, as opposed to a less-hyper Eiji. Marui's terribly smart, and terribly analytical, and he has - just this sharp edge to him.

I realize that's more the sort of thing that would come out in a story oriented around tennis and competition and whatnot, but I feel as if Yuki could maybe have caught some glimpses of it? I love Rikkai for the characters, for their flaws and quirks, the way they're all so complicated, so I love to see that in fic.

Also isn't Yukimura the "mysterious blue haired boy" she'd met? That scene just makes it seem like he and that boy are two different people.

I have no threats to back me up though :'( This one-shot was really interesting, with Jackal and Marui (the PoT ff world should have more fanfics centred on them!) ooohh.. yay! It's up. I liked it. It's not just fluff-don't get me wrong though, I also like fluff but of course, I like it better if there is some sort of progress in the plot even if it's just a one-shot. Even though the romance is very subtle, I still find it cute and I liked their moments together. I also like the way you portray marui. I've read some fics where he's written as someone who's kind of annoying because of his high self-esteem. But in your fic, in spite of his you used his confident to make him inspiring and more likeable. I really enjoyed reading it :)
