Ah, yes. A fic with character death is always up my alley.

I like this one. It's ominous. It's tense. It's bittersweet; bitter since Rouge is killed in the end, but you get sweet lines like these which make it so worthwhile:

'You're always warm.
But how?
I'm persistently cold.
Freezing.'

Simple, and drawn out just enough to be dramatic. Sets the tone early on and I was hooked.
