Guest chapter 1 . 11/14/2012 the guardian indeed :) haven't read the original but i must commend the translator - never did it sound stiff or forced :) brilliant, both of you |
Elizabeth Mary Holmes chapter 1 . 10/5/2012 A beautiful text, wonderfully written and translated. Very touching. An atypical POV but a great OS, a gem of a OS. Thanks for this excellent job on the French text . |
talimenios791 chapter 1 . 7/31/2012 This was so lovely. |
Thaddeus MacChuzzlewit chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 This I could actually believe happened. It's plausible and beautifully written. The setting lent a wonderful feel to the story. Thank you for the expert translation as well. The French bit reviewers are referring to, is the part where Nathanael is about to depart for his own home and Sherlock shows up. |
Spark17 chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 Wonderfully moving and poetic translation. Congratulations and thanks to Caidy-chan for such a beautiful story. |
MegaOtaku777 chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 You have no idea how close I came to crying. This was such a beautiful story! And though I can read French, if it wasn't for you, I never would have found this amazing tale. Thank you so much for the translation, and a huge thanks to the original author for writing it. This was one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. |
uzumaki misaki chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 Beautiful! |
Jenn chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 This is an amazing story. It's definitely one of the most beautiful and exciting pieces I've read in this fandom. That one bit in French was a little strange, but other than that, really fantastic job. Thank you for translating this. I don't speak French so without your help I would have definitely missed this wonderful piece. |
Birgit chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 Wow. First of all, I want to thank you for translating this wonderful story. My knowledge of the French language is very limited, so I would never have come across this fic without your beautiful translation. And now please give my regards to the author of this amazing story. I've loved cementries sinds I was a little child, still love them, and it seems that there are more people around who appreciate the serene and calm and somewhat strangely life-embracing atmosphere with all those beautiful trees and flowers and people remembering someone they do whish to be among them in a way. Great how this atmosphere is kept in the story! And then: I've always thought that the "resurrection" of Sherlock and his reunion with John would take place in the cementary, regarding the last scenes of Reichenbach Fall. Oh, this is one of the best, if not the best, post- Reichenbach-stories I've read, it's the one that finally, fnally made me cry. Thank you for this wonderful story and the translation, both of you! |
otala chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 This was beautiful! |
chironsgirl chapter 1 . 7/30/2012 Very intriguing! Liked Nathaniel's air of mystery. I would love it if Nathaniel could be involved in a case. With his dark past there must be something there that will reach out and demand the talents of Sherlock and his blogger. |
