I loved this, and it was so realistic and sweet. I really think that Gobber was another father figure to Hiccup, but Hiccup didn't feel the need to please him like Stoick, so I feel like their relationship was more open. This was an excellent piece of writing; great job!

I know! It's a crime how few there are, especially when they have the most potential for either banter or serious thought (as you have just outstandingly proved). Awesome work, this seems exactly like we've gotten inside Gobber's head- though a tricky place it may be.
