That Clint thought she was dead for four days...too cruel! I think this was really well written and characterized (Injured Natasha still kicking ass? Hell yes.). The close relationship between them is obvious without being spelled out or overly maudlin, which is key for these guys. I also love the inclusion of the whole team dynamic and their coordinated effort to save her.

Not only did you nail the personalities of both Clint and Natasha, you also managed to work in the rest of the team: Roger's chivalry, Stark as backup, and Banner no doubt making sure she got only the best medical care.

While first and foremost a Barton/Romanov fic, that you managed to add hints of the team dynamic into this one-shot is truly impressive.

Now, onto the main draw. :-)

Clint refusing to leave Natasha's side, counting the time she was 'dead' down to the second rings true to how I imagine he would react. I love the detail on how she took out a few guards while slung over Roger's shoulder. So very, very Natasha.

Most of all, I admire how you show us their partnership and trust, but don't turn them all sentimental after a scare. Black Widow and Hawkeye are many things, but they are not sappy. :-)

Oh, I don't know what to do first: jump up and down excitedly or hug you or maybe both at the same time. This was wonderful, tender, sweet, and heartfelt.

This is one of my favorite Avengers stories. You maintain the personalities of both Clint and Tasha, unlike other Blackhawk fics that totally change how they act. Very well written. I'd love to see this continued. Your writing is exemplary. You write with a pleasant ease that doesn't need extra description. Great job, great job.
