One of the reasons I really enjoy this fic is the real likely picture no one ever shows of Sam going to Stanford and having money trouble. Plus big brother Dean is awesome.

I actually read this back when you posted it and then bookmarked it to review later, but it got buried in my bookmarks, sorry :P Clearly I have WAY too many Supernatural stories bookmarked. :P

But anyway, I really loved this one-shot :)

This:
"Dean laughed. "Such crude gestures..." he playfully admonished as he once again reached for his mug of soup. "Who raised you anyway?"
"A poker player," Sam answered hoarsely and then swallowed against his sore throat before smiling proudly.
Dean quirked a smile of his own; always feeling amused and uncharacteristically sappy when Sam said such simple things that made him want to cry like a freakin' girl."

Especially just made it for me; it was such a wonderful combination of humor and brotherly sweetness. I got caught between laughing and going "AWWW" and ended up making an some odd noise in between :P

Loved the descriptions of the other players around the table ;)
And loved the Dean/Sammy interaction, the last part nearly brought tears to my eyes...
