Rory is that teacher who the other teacher are either half in love with or deeply confused by but they all enjoy having a pint cause his historical anecdotes are amazing and it turns out he knows Latin which the teenagers love and he'd be absolutely epic

When you say Public school i take it you mean state school (i.e you don't pay fees) because traditionally the public school were the ones you paid for e.g. Eton or Harrow and I can assure you that you can't get much fancier than that.

Loved this fic! Wish it was longer! (hint, hint?) Rory is just so amazingly badass as a history teacher. I mean, he's always badass, but still that much so as a history teacher.

Rory is more badass as a history teacher than he ever was as a time traveler with an alien. Kudos.

Excellently written; I really adore Rory as the quirky, badass history teacher.

Having said that, Rory probably wouldn't refer to the school as a private one, even with the side note of it being "'private' in the American sense"; after all, you wouldn't think of a particular US school as being 'public in the British sense', would you? You'd just call it a Private School. For that reason, I think that you'd be better off calling the unnamed school in your fic a Public School (which is what 'fancy' British 'private' schools are called) or, if you think that would be too confusing for an American readership, you could call it an Independent School.

Overall, though, I very much enjoyed this fic. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us!
