A high-pitched, irate whisper of, "Mr. Jones! You're pressing your luck!"

"Shoot me or shut up," was his response, and the soldier cursed under his breath, trying to free himself from the tangle he was in.

Your characterization is so freaking amazing: I love Alfred's carefree yet overwhelmingly confident attitude towards everything, suave s.o.b that he is, and Ludwig's cool, collected, "let's make them shiver with fear" just because he can is just. So good.
Spies and lies and betrayal is my favorite genre and you do it so well. Even though it's been 5 years since it's been updated, I still hold out hope because this story has so much untapped potential waiting to be unleashed. There's so few germerica stories, and practically no spy germerica stories.
Even if you decide not to update it, I hope you read this and know that I'm absolutely head over heels for this story. You do such a great job engaging readers.

I would love to see you continue this even though it has been an while since you updated.

I kinda have to say (after reading some of your other stories), that you might wanna look into when and how to use the word 'lied'. 'Lied down' is incorrect, as 'lied' is actually just the past tense of 'lie' (as in, to tell someone a lie).

I find this example to be the best :
"Jack lied to the police about his whereabouts. Once they were gone, he laid his gun on the bedside table and lay down to sleep."

Sorry for the impromptu grammar lesson. I just find your fics to be so wonderful, that it makes me wince every time I come across this error. :)
