I find it interesting that your fanfic even being from 2013 was correct about the airbenders, the spirits did find a way to restore them after all, Tenzin wasn’t the only hope for his nation. I keep wondering if only Aang had been the one to be able to do it, instead of Korra, maybe Lin and a Tenzin could be an actual couple after all. Amazing story by the way! Can’t wait to read it all! :D

Oh. This - this just somehow made me cry! I Never, with a capital N, cry over fanfiction. But you managed to make me cry. On hone hand, a bitter well done for leaving me feeling depressed for the rest of the day. On the other hand, this is so amazing I want to scream. I will admit that there was a slight dip in plot when her was engaged to one of the candidates but then Lin got pregnant and he broke up with her, but otherwise... I can't voice my awe. Throughout the whole story I was angry. I tried to blame it on the characters; I hated the White Lotus 'candidates' for daring to come and try to win over Tenzin, I hated the White Lotus, I hated Pema for actually having Tenzin fall for her, and I hated Tenzin himself for being with Lin but also loving Pema and also for being the one who had the happy ever after. The thing is, by the end of the fanfiction, my nearly-torn-to-shreds-by-emotion brain cells finally worked out that I was angry at the situation they were placed in. The last chapter was just such a finish... though I can't decide whether it's happy or sad. Lin was so amazing, and perfectly characterised. It was heartbreaking to see her go through such pain. This story was absolutely egregiously pulchritudinous, and that is the highest honour I can bestow.
Would you ever consider writing a oneshot a bit like the alternate ending, only detailing the events after the final chapter where Tenzin and Lin have a proper, friendly talk? Not to put on this fanfiction, because then that would spoil the perfect, complete sadness and yet hope that this ending gives.
Thank you so much for breaking my entire being into tiny shards of sorrow. Seriously, thank you. It was a very unique experience which can only be brought on by writing so wonderful and yet so sad that I snap.

This was nothing less than spectacular. I found the ending sad - was it supposed to be sad or happy? I wanted so much to cry bit I'm like Lin so I pulled it together. I thought that it very quickly descended into sadness at the end but I guess I'll just deal with it. I'm going to take the final'like old times' paragraph as Lin 'forgiving' Tenzin and, in a way, moving in.

Magnificent ending!

I actually think this last chapter works great as a part of your story *and* as a one-shot on its own explaining how Lin's and Tenzin's relationship ended and how the 3 of them ended up as they are when the series begins. What a fun effect!

Oh my god Tenzin I could shoot you Pema had every right to be upset and angry at Lin and Tenzin. Tenzin should not have come on to lin, and lin should have continued to push him away. Because that just caused horrible heart break and pain. Can I say again its just so believable and realistic it is not even funny. I could totally see this happen, and it breaks my heart. Awesome story!

Good job! I loved this! And the way that Lin and Tenzin's relationship plays out in canon is totally remniscient of an affair sort of thing.
One thing: I'm pretty sure you address the White Lotus as "were" because they are a group.

I am going to miss this story so so so much! It's absolutley hateful in everyway because Linzin don't happen in the end, but it's sooo good writing and painful and my feelings are always overwhelmed after every chapter, and that's what makes it a fantastic story! And your imagination is awsome. I'm pleased to see an author actually finish a story, instead of quitting halfway through like most people does. Hat off and a big applause for you! I really enjoyed reading this story!

I think you should write a chapter showing what happened betwen Lin and Pema after 'turning the tides'. It'd be good to find closure or else their end of the story will forever remain unresolved.
