ebi pers chapter 1 . 7/23/2012 You are AMAZING! I swear it's Hal writing this! You must have siblings of your own because you captured that...brotherly relationship so well. I know, I've got two little brothers of my own and you got it exactly right when you say you define yourself by what your brother isn't. This was so spectacularly characterized. I love your little tags because you really hone in on a scene and dissect every emotional aspect of it. It's sheer brilliance! I sincerely hope there's more on the way! |
DancerInTheDark101 chapter 1 . 7/23/2012 Wow. Just... Wow. What an amazing insight into Hal's thoughts about Ben! You've really got his character pegged. Molon Labe quickly became my favourite episode of the series, and this little introspective piece has added so much to an already fantastic episode. I live how you added parts in about their life before the invasion - it really showed not only how much Ben has changed, but the dynamics of their brotherly bond have changed too and how Hal had tried, but failed to understand the his little brother (underneath the increased strength and super homes senses) was still the same old math geek that he had known as kids. And how Hal finally came to the conclusion that Ben was still his geeky little brother who still needed the protection of his older bro, a little too late and he lost him again - just as r had started to reconnect. Your writing is flawless; great descriptive sentences that don't go over the top. I love it, pure and simple. I can't to see what you write next for Falling Skies! Is going on my faves most definitely :) -Rachel (sorry for the long review lol. I just couldn't seem to shut up :P) |
