Actually, not a surprise. :) I kind of saw hints in the show, and it seems logical. And it gives Seven a happy ending, where I really didn't care where she was as long as she was out of Chakotay's . . . hair. ;)

Thank you so much for this series! These two characters are my least favorite and this was delightful (as they all have been). I have been savoring each story like a good cup of coffee and have enjoyed each one of them. I am sure the finale will worth the journey.

Lovely! I always thought the Doctor and Seven would've made so much more sense than Seven and Chakotay and I'm very glad to see them acknowledge possibilities here. I liked the flashback to the hearing as well when it dawned on Seven that she might have disregarded the Doctor too quickly. I coudl picture that look she exchanged with Janeway so well and once again I realise that Tuvok described Janeway very well in the last update - as the perfect manipulator. :-)

I loved the gift Seven chose, by the way. That song where he first realises she's more to him than a pupil. This was great, I really liked it.

Now of course I'm looking forward to the Prixin celebration. :D

Another wonderful “piece of time!”

I like the idea of Seven and the Doctor together, exploring their friendship on a new level.

And I loved how the Doctor’s description of Chakotay was also a description of himself -"He is hyper-macho, self-delusional, easily deceived, casually violent, overly temperamental -"

And, of course, Seven’s description fit them both – “He is also patient and kind and compassionate. He is innately good and fair. He feels deeply, but does not express the depth of his feelings. He has great capacity for love."

I can’t wait for more. I feel like a little kid on Prixin eve!

I adore this, absolutely adore it. These two are one of my favourite VOY ships, and you wrote them so, so well. Seven's voice is perfect in this.

I cannot express how moving and adorable that moment with the music box was; I almost started crying because of the deep connection that it represented. THIS is how their relationship should have always been.

Oh, and I found the Doctor's description of Chakotay to be incredibly amusing :)

Great update I am a D/7 FAN!

I was a bit wary at first when I saw whose POV this was, but then again I almost always am whenever Seven is involved. You most definitely pulled this off though! You portrayed her personality, reactions, and even movements perfectly. And the Doctor's (or should I say Joe's) as well. I also liked her explanation of the Chakotay fiasco. Especially the "capacity for self-delusion is extraordinary" line. That was just so fitting and perfect! Another excellent chapter! I still don't want this story to end, but I can't wait to see what's coming next!

Excellent. Just excellent. Seven is a hard character to write and you nailed it. I want this J/C reunion and I want it now! More please
