Personally, I would've recorded a video, or just an audio and hand it in to the police, if the walls are thin enough. if not you could probably sneak in your phone in your pocket and record, mic up. Or something. But in general it's such a good storyline and so far I'm quite liking your way of writing! The problem with me is that in these situations when I'm planning things similar to this I run all the possibilities in my head and leave 1 unnoticeable loophole for a resolution. That's all,
