Test scores will not affect your 2nd or 3rd Quarter mark. Test scores will appear in a distinct column on your report card and account for 10% of your final grade for the school year. STUDY TIPS: Study a little bit every day. Use a calendar to plan which subject you will study each day and mark it in your assignment pad or create reminders on your iPad so you know which books to bring home. Tests will focus on the “big picture.” So, focus your studying on the main ideas of what you have learned, not the small details. Use old tests, quizzes, review sheets and the section review in your textbooks to quiz yourself. Do NOT re-read all of your textbooks! Instead, read your notes from class and the section reviews or chapter highlights in your textbook. Many textbooks have websites that include chapter summaries and self-check quizzes. Look on the back cover of your textbook to find the website address. |
