This has to be my all time favorite Common Law fic... it's so intense and I feel for Wes. I've come back over the past few years quite a few times to re-read it. It really struck a chord with me. I suffer from bipolar disorder and have fits of mania and in my teenage years I'd have panic attacks/manic phases that'd leave me with broken collectibles, shattered mirrors, holes in walls, I even broke the neck of the guitar my granddad gave me before he passed once. Medication helped some, but it was a friend that later turned into my other half who helped me through it.

The accuracy of this, the build up, it's so spot on. The gentle soothing tones Travis used, and his unwavering support is beautiful. I love this so much. I'm sorry it's taken me so many years to leave a proper review. I could never really put how deeply this fic affected me into words.

Poor Wes! Gawd, I can sympathize with him because I can be very detail-oriented, too. Poor baby had a horrible day and it's even worse for the anal retentive personality!

His breakdown was seriously scary! He needs to vent his feelings a little better for sure.

I love this story! I've re-read it a number of times and I never get tired of it. I love Wes' break-down and how it progresses and how the reader stays in Wes' head until Travis starts getting through to him. Travis comforting Wes and taking care of him are my favourite fics in this fandom! Thanks for a wonderful story!

Hi, ummmm, so I noticed that you put Hurt/Comfort and Angst as the genres for this story. I believe those definitely apply, but I didn't think this story was as serious as what you were going for. I found myself smiling at Wes' actions in your hotel room scene (where he's demolishing everything), instead of taking it seriously. I think you took it a little too far, and it was perhaps just a touch unrealistic.

Whew, that being said, let's get on to the good stuff! I really liked the way you portrayed Travis. If (and probably when) Wes has a breakdown, I can definitely see Travis acting just like your Travis: calm and much more restrained than usual. I also liked the little stuff you had pile up during Wes' day. That could be anyone's bad day, and I think it's very relate-able. Overall, I liked this story, and I think you did a good job. :)

Does it sound wrong that I love this story just because you KNOW you've had days like this? The like the build up, because it's all really rather trivial stuff, but if something else is wrong (you don't even have to know that there is), it can make EVERYTHING seem so bad that you just want to destroy something. Love it! Glad I can find some really awesome genfic in this category! I hope you write more soon!

A Pen Out Of Place Is Like Someone Rearranged Your Desk, Out Of Staples Is Like Someone Took All Your Supplies. It Just Sucks!
