I was so excited to see that this was updated. Interludes are usually a bit shorter than the rest of the story, so when I saw the chapter title I had a feeling it might be a bit shorter, but that's okay. Writer's block is quite possibly the most affliction imaginable (to a writer, anyway). Just so long as we get another update soon; waiting for around six months (the last update was in May, I think...) does make you a bit impatient. ;)

You know, I completely forgot about Agatha being at the Viridian Gym. Somehow I always picture Gary being there 'cause Blue's the Gym Leader in HG and SS (been so long since I played the original Silver version that I can't remember if he is there, too) and sometimes I forget that Gary's not a so much a trainer anymore as he is a researcher and professor-in-training. I agree that Serena would be kind of hard to work in at this point, too, especially since it seems that Kalos prefers to be uninvolved in the other regions' problems.

Come on update soon, with my favorite lets player, chuggaaconroy, sick for maybe a few months you're one of the few pieces of good entertainment I have left. Also yeah, I remember when I turned into an Amour shipper, actually just a few minutes after I found out they were childhood friends, yeah the mistyxash ship is probably not going to pull through this time

That's a shame your stopping the Flavor Text quotes. Some of the best ones could have been used for the next chapter. Pernicious Deed's in particular comes to mind. Or even Cruel Ultimatum's "There is always a greater power."

Regardless, this is pretty action packed. I also find it hard to believe, as other reviewers did, that Ability Shipping, the only shipping I know off besides Amour that starts with an A, was you chosen shipping previously.

Implying that Anabel was the only frontier member to escape was a nice homage to the former shipping though.

Jordinio is something of a prick. He certainly allows the fact that he has the highest reviewed PearlShipping story (Working Sinnoh with Skill) to go to his head, considering that compared to other less reviewed work, it isn't even that good; simply benefitting from a timely publishing and lack of comparable quality competition. Given the way he treats his own readers, its amazing he gets any reviews at all.

Every writer always does their own thing in Pokemon for a reason. Unlike Harry Potter, which has a rather rigidly defined fanon, Pokemon does not which gives its writers a much greater degree of freedom than in other fandoms like Harry Potter where next to everything is either cliché or violates some form of canon, fanon or otherwise.

Not just a fan base. A fangirl no less. Who might be a better trainer than he is.

Really enjoying the MTG flavor texts at the end of the chapters. Wonder if we're gonna see Dark Confidante's iconic "Greatness. At any cost." At some point perhaps referring to Giovanni or Ghetsis.

Awesome development in here, wonders what will happen next.

I guess Anabel was the one you had in mind at first, she does have some feelings for Ash and I have read several stories with her as the pair. Still, I think another character like Alexa or Anthea would had been more interesting to read. Have yet to read/find a story with them so it would have been something new and fresh. But that is no longer a concern in here, so I was right with the feeling that you want to use Serena? Yeah, she would be a bit difficult to introduce but not impossible.

How about doing something similar to May? With Serena, a former friend of Ash, kept prisoner in order to be used later against Ash. I don't know how well it would work with Ash having forgotten about her, but that fact could be twisted in away to be used later on the story... maybe instead of a prisoner, she could be in a position where she is been psychologically controlled by Giovanni. (It could be used in two different ways: 1. Having her get angry at Ash for daring to forget about his "first, Gary wont agree lol," true friend. 2. Having her believe that Ash friends are the evil people, that are just tricking Ash in order to use him for now, and later be disposed of... thus causing quite a lot of trouble when concerning Ash's friends. Either way it could be interesting... obviously for this idea to work she must have been trained by Giovanni and been given a couple of strong Pokemon in order to fight... she can't be the girl that has yet to receive her first Pokemon. A good addition to this could be that all her Pokemon were given by Giovanni, but one exception...a Poliwag that serves as her reminder of when she met her crush Ash, it would be a bit unrealistic for her to have the same Poliwag from that day so I would go for a different one, but you can keep the same one if you want. I would also put that piece of cloth that Ash gave to Serena, to be tied on Poliwag's tail. Note: I would keep Poliwah on his first stage for a couple of reasons, one been that I can Serena wanting to keep him that way because that was the form the Pokemon had when she met Ash, and second because it would serve as Serena's way of owning a Pikachu like Ash.

Wow, that was long. Sorry for the long idea, apparently I suddenly received quite a lot of inspiration when concerning Serena. You are obviously free to used it or not in whatever way you want. Hope you update soon.

I'm getting the feeling that someone named Serena is the new girl you have been attached to do. ;)

It has been a while since I last check this story, need to catch up.

I sometimes can't stop myself from thinking that Dawn has some faults with the way Piplup acts in regards to not wanting to evolve. Anyway, I also get the feeling that Cassidy and Butch, not Botch, are the current TR. Up to the next one.
