Reviews for The Doctor's Doctor
SherlockWholmes chapter 14 . 3/11/2019
I looked this a lot. BAMF John is always a treat. I really didn't like modern Mycroft any more than John or the Doctor/Sherlock. Molly as a former companion is great too.
Lowenweiss chapter 7 . 3/10/2019
In " The Angels Take Manhattan" the crime boss played by Mike McShane was able to damage an angel that way. Of course, damaging an angel depends on the hardness of their body's material, as well as the ability to actually touch it. ( The Obelisk in 2001 was untouchable.

Oh my gosh. This was incredible! One of the best things I've read. What a fantastic way to merge it all together. I love the idea that this was how the Holmes/Watson duo came about. Seriously amazing and original. I've not read anything like this before. It would be really fun to see more of them in Victorian England. I do feel bad for Lestrade and him never knowing what happened to John. Makes me sad. But really just a fantastic story.

I loved this! Brilliant. It was so well done how you tied the two stories.

Fascinating start!
Sue Clover chapter 14 . 6/12/2015
Well, that was cool. And then, I suppose, they have adventures solving crime (both alien and domestic) because the Doctor can't help himself and John is bored, and then John writes them up under the alias of ACD, or something? That would be cool.
Sue Clover chapter 7 . 6/11/2015
Oh, so that's what you meant by Thirteen!Sherlock. Sherlock is the 13th Doctor. Okeydokey. I like it so far.
Sue Clover chapter 3 . 6/11/2015
Okay. I agree with you about the poison, by the way.
So where is Sherlock in this story? Is he missing because he's off with the Doctor, and that's why Mycroft wants John to find him?
Guest chapter 14 . 5/30/2015
Thank you for the ride. It has been most enjoyable :)
Guest chapter 11 . 5/30/2015
Kudos for the mirror idea! I am surprised they didn't use it in the show. I mean, that's basically the first method people think of when dealing with beings which can be defeated by their own sight. Credits for the first instance probably goes to Medusa.
Guest chapter 9 . 5/30/2015
Sick from food poisoning of all things — figures. *snorts with laughter*
Though I think it's unfair for John to accuse the Doctor of callousness. I do believe that people should do whatever they can to help others, when they have the power. But while the Doctor may have designated himself to help others in the universe, for people to think he is /obligated/ to help is another matter. Running is one of those defining character traits of his that is decidedly none too shining. But he is alien, however human he looks and behaves. Coming from a race he's saved countless times in the past, which sets a trap for him as an enemy — callousness, really? What right does anyone have to make such accusations, past experiences notwithstanding?
Guest chapter 8 . 5/30/2015
On a minor note, I believe Time Lords in canon have lower body temperatures, actually. It's been mentioned on multiple occasions if I am not wrong, though I can't think of a good example right off the bat...
Amazing story. I've been wondering how Sherlock would make a time-travelling alien, and actually seeing it is fantastic. Sherlock has his alien elements, but fundamentally I see them as very different individuals. Like they said, one is a human who wants to be God, the other is basically a god that wants to be human. This combination gives us a Sherlock that is still very much eccentric and full of wonder, but warmer in countenance than the original.
I am rather curious about what you would make of the Holmes brothers' relationship now. Are they even still brothers or something else? Are they enemies now? Or is Mycroft being concerned in his usual terrifying manner again?...
Now that I am pausing long enough to review, I should mention how glad I am to see the "completed" status when I started reading. Though I probably would have done so anyway upon seeing the first chapter. This has been the most enjoyable story I've come across in quite some time. Your take on the characters and events are intriguing indeed. Look forward to reading the rest...

Wow, this is so awesome. So well done and perfect. Love it.
librarywitch chapter 8 . 3/1/2015
Of course he could, he is our John.
librarywitch chapter 7 . 3/1/2015
I personally prefer a RPG or a BMG. Either should do the trick.
