The issue you write about regarding Gohan is very real as well as troublesome. There is this thing called unearned guilt that people can have. They tend to blame themselves for things that bad people do. It makes it difficult if not insurmountable to overcome.

In Dragon Ball Z, Gohan's father, Goku told Gohan that it was not good Gohan's fault, it was bad Cell's fault that Goku died. Anyway, Goku was able to come back to life via the Dragon Shenron. So Goku did not have to stay dead. Therefore, Gohan did not have to suffer the loss of his father, Goku, to be tormented and tortured by unearned guilt. But Goku made the decision to stay dead. Thereby, it was due to Goku's choice to stay in other world and train, not Gohan's choice to toy with Cell, that Gohan suffered the loss of his father. Had someone told Gohan this Gohan would no longer by tormented and tortured with unearned guilt.

Gohan is a pure hearted warrior, which means he fights for justice. So when he gets mad it is a righteous anger that overtakes him. So, his Saiyan side could never become evil and murder people being that it is born out of righteousness.

Just wondering...why did you write a depressing story about Gohan? Why not write a inspiring story about Gohan?

well krillen i'll give you a list 1.)he got kidnapped twice in one in one day when he was 4 2.) that day was also the day his dad died the first time 3.)he was stuck with piccolo who at the time was evil for a year 4.)he saw yamcha, tien, chiazho, piccolo die all within the time of an hour when he was five 5.)he went to an alien planet with just two of his dads friends who at the time he hardly knew 6.)he went throungh the whole namek situation where so many things went wrong i'm not even gonna try to list them 7.)he found out his father was staying in space for TRAINING 8.)his mother isolated him from his only friends he had ever known 9.)the whole world except for a select few get infected 10.)his teacher and best friend starts attacking him 11.)his father returns only to find out they have to train for 3 more years 12.)his dad gets heart virus 13.)cell shows up 14.)cell goes on a killing spree he is powerless to stop 15.)his dad makes him fight cell 16.)he loses control 17.)his dad dies 18.)trunks dies 19.)when given a choice his dad chooses to stay dead 20.)the one person he feels he can connect with leaves 20. his haiya dragon dies of whats predicted to be lonliness 21.)he finds out he has a brother whos a carbon copy of their deceased father yeah where did you go wrong i mean how could he posibly be depressed (sarchasim by the way)especially considering after all this he is 11
