Reviews for The Lion and the Fox
EleanorGardner chapter 11 . 9/18/2019
Was there a Sherlock reference in here? I think there was.
PheonixBJB chapter 41 . 9/8/2018
That was fantastic! Wish it could have been like a million chapters, and I would have read every single one! Loved this fic, I just cannot express how much so.
Guest chapter 40 . 6/12/2018
Incredible story!
Mulberries chapter 40 . 5/2/2018
Dear Rayven, what a wonderful tale you have crafted from a story already much-loved. I hope you write your own characters and stories! Because, although you combined the movie and book verses well, I especially enjoyed your imaginative forays into Edmund's character. In the last chapter, Peter swears by 'Swanwhite's Blade', which struck me as ironic, as Swanwhite is the horse that the Lady of the Green Kirtle rides, in The Silver Chair. This was a fantastic journey - thank you.
Inna chapter 19 . 3/30/2018
Amazing chapter, and the last part is really pretty weird. I'm not very good at writing comprehensible comments, but since you kindly asked about reader's opinions, I'll write down my ideas about it.
That actually reminded me about a lecture on psychology I once attended. I work as a teacher and the topic was psychology of abused children. When I read this phrase, that he had the space carved out for 'it' long ago, I remembered the picture that the lecturer drew. She said that if we depict a person's identity as a circle, then the abuse (physical or psychological, doesn;t matter much) makes sort of a hole in it, damaging the way the person sees the world and as well as themselves. And since it's impossible to live with this hole being raw, people tend to seal it and cover it with different types of masks, one of them being the 'monster mask', and after a while the person in question starts seeing themselves in this way, which I found rather scary.
I don't know if that makes any sense, since I'm pretty sure that psychological concepts and many terms in my country are quite different from what they are taught in Europe and the US, but that's what came to my mind when I read this - starting to think of oneself as a monster. Oh, and I remember that the lecturer said that kids who have this type of 'mask' also tend to be more vulnerable to different types of addictions, too. I was very inexperinced back then and I remember that made a hell of impression on me.
That seems to be too long a comment, but that just shows how much I'm impressed with your portraying the characters. If you ever read this, I'd just like you to know how much I admire your skills and, I guess the word here is depth of your works.
ELClemons chapter 31 . 3/1/2018
I cried. Sometimes Jesus-y is okay and exactly what a reader needs. Yes he did ring true. This chapter is perfect.
TheLittleCatmole chapter 40 . 11/19/2016
I truly love this story! I couldn't put it down!
Are you planning on doing something similar for the Prvensies' time as King and Queens and/or a story like this for the events leading up, during, and after Prince Caspian?
Bonnygirl10 chapter 11 . 8/10/2015
Edmund noooooooooooooo! That child I swear- ahhhhhhgh! He's really not that likeable at the moment, but I understand as to why he is acting like that. Also, I loved the quote from Sherlock :) Moriarty sure did creep me out when he said that.
Please tell me that everything will be alright, and that Edmund will change- and poor Jill!
Bonnygirl10 chapter 4 . 8/10/2015
Agggh this chapter was so sad! I adore Edmund, but his behaviour in this is awful! Poor Peter- I just want to wrap him up and cuddle him. He's only trying to be a good brother, Eddy, why can't you see that?!
I am loving this so far! Your writing is so engaging! Xx
A Loyal Narnian chapter 40 . 1/24/2015
I've finally finished. This is one of the greatest fanfictions I have ever read. Congratulations.
-A Loyal Narnian-
P.S. If you haven't already, you should write a one shot about Peter naming his horse "Black Horse" and Edmund noticing. :) -ALN-

A Loyal Narnian chapter 27 . 1/18/2015
Quick observation: In the last chapter Edmund's water was completely frozen, in this chapter it had melted enough that the Witch could dump it on Edmund's head. Is there a reason for that or was it just an inconsistency?

Guest chapter 20 . 12/21/2014
Hi, I just finished ch. 20 and the story has been great so far. I have one comment on the part when the Pevensies are approaching Mr. Tumnus's house.
"Mr. Tumnus's door has been wrenched off it's hinges. The inside of the house looks cold and dark. Mr. Tumnus no longer appears to be living here."
Unless Lucy described everything in detail to Peter, he couldn't have known that was Mr. Tumnus's house. Peter could suspect that was who had lived here, especially based off of Lucy's reaction to the broken door, but he couldn't know for sure. Just a style tip for next time, I don't expect you to change it because you wrote it a long time ago. I can't wait to read the rest of the story, I'm half way there.
Sincerely, A Loyal Narnian
Epsilon Scorpii chapter 40 . 10/14/2014
I mostly enjoyed the front chapters before they got into Narnia. The way you narrated the little things in their life that drew the final rift between Peter and Edmund was very realistic, heart wrenching and occasionally heart warming (these circumstances are quite few though, I only do recall the experiment house scene and the final chapter where Peter showed up again). I have also greatly enjoyed your flow of writing, which explains why I've read it all in a span of a day :) Thanks for writing this piece.
pinksugarrush chapter 12 . 8/30/2014
Oh, my god. Edmund is like so twisted in here! That Experiment House (creepy school place - making Edmund run and getting pneumonia. I love that Peter visited him and tried to give him his coat. It's so cute.) is making him inhuman! Gah, Edmund use to be so sweet and how he's so mean to Peter!

It's really sad, actually, how Peter clambers for his birthday present almost as if he's expecting it to be something amazing and good but it's a bucket of worms!

But, I have to say, I love this chapter - in it's own wicked way.

Love the writing and the plot. I hope Ed turns back to being that untroubled and sweet boy again. :)
