Amazing story!

'The story, character development, and potential romance puts Disney to shame'? No way! Disney is waay better at these things, and Dreamworks I feel only does it for the laughs. In fact, Kung Fu Panda is the only Dreamworks movie I'm into because of its depth. It's great- but Disney's better. Concede it. Please.

Love your fanfic, by the way. Especially character development. I feel that Shifu's breakdown was a little melodramatic though.

OH MY GOD I AM CRYING IN THIS CHAPTER

Honestly I would've been pissed if they went through with the idea of Mei Mei being engaged to Po. I mean, really, they had Tigress and Po pretty much being besties but no as soon as a new character is thrown in then that's who he's going to magically fall for and marry right off the bat.

When I was younger that didn't bother me much but as I've gotten older that whole "Love at first sight" thing has worn off. Dating someone you've known for years makes a hell of a lot more sense than marrying some random person and claiming it's true love.

I'm actually even more suspicious of Ti/Po happening with how grabby Tigress doesn't seem to mind being and how they both seem to have caught on to each other's styles...

Not to mention she gives him another kick to the ass and he once again vents his problems to her.

...yeaaah if they don't make Ti/Po happen then they better not make any other romance happen because that'd just be complete dickatry.

Well Li did bring Po to the Panda Village soooo you got that right at least...although he doesn't seem to be the leader...and pretty much everyone figured that if Po's dad showed up he'd ask Po to come back to the village.

This was a fantastic story.

There were some parts the felt like the were to add drama or intensity that were not needed. Like po's father and the emperors main man. I was really against po's father being written in here but you actually totally changed my mind on that with the last chapter. He created a good emotional demlia. Your were more hit than miss on your characters,

I felt you really nailed tigress, po, crane, and monkey

But
Shifui could never open up that easily that quickly
Ping would never want to share po, he wouldn't stop him but he'd be heartbroken

Also you had a lot of lose ends that went nowhere

The scrolls they found
The chi blocking training just stopped
Shifui never opened his box
The emperor was made out as a possible threat but never did really anything

I don't want to sound overly critical
You nailed what I (as a fan) want of ti/po
You were perfect on the speech of certain characters including oogway (spelled wrong I know)
You took perfect creative risk
And my biggest point to you was

YOU DIDN'T RUSH THE ROMANCE
most people have this great idea but rush to it to soon
Very fan servicey
