Yusavich chapter 2 . 5/1/2014 It's like you're right inside my head and writing down all that I feel in think in both my head and MY personal journal. Too bad I'm a few years late to be reviewing, I would have loved to see both more entries, as well as Tea's reactions to it all. Nice work. |
Yusavich chapter 1 . 5/1/2014 Right in the fucking feels. I'm surprised this doesnt have more reviews. I also know it's been a few years, but I found it while searching for my favourite pairing. This especially hit me write in the heart, I wasn't expecting this, especially since I've been contemplating it more than ever lately. Your author's note made me tear a little, hahaha. Nice job. |
Ziven chapter 1 . 7/16/2012 This was a nicely done piece. I like the fact that you're reaching out to others and trying to discourage other people from that path. I think it goes without saying that you're a wonderful person for writing this and I know that it will touch others and make a difference. Of course, you chose wonderful characters to make this piece resonate and work to its fullest potential. A lot of people refuse to put Anzu to use for one reason for another, and it's nice to have a story focus on her in a capacity that isn't negative. I could, unfortunately, see both of these characters in this situation and while it's done a lot, it's usually not from the perspectives of these characters. As a story, it's very solid, and although there's some awkward phrasing in places it doesn't affect the overall story. I love your diction and word choice! Ryou's writing was both sad and inspiring, and I hope that if there's anyone feeling the same way that they won't make his choice, and go for help instead. Thanks for writing this. |
hauntednakano chapter 1 . 7/16/2012 ;_; This... Curseee... Yoooou... /drowns in a torrent of tears I loved the way you wrote it. To me, it feels rather dreamy from Anzu's point of view - surreal, I suppose. Added with her 'numbness' as stated at the beginning... This surreality is pricked by reality every so often through the story - things like the recognition of solid facts - "his mood changes with his writing", and the like. This is probably my favour sentence/line out of the entire story: His writing style was always like this: sporadic, sensory, slightly pretentious. Always written for an audience, even in a context so intimate as this because it shows how well Anzu *knows* him, and it's just beautiful. There are several other lines in the story which just work. I like how it simply shows brief flashes of life post-canon, without over putting too much information in. Only the things that are relevant to the story, and make it work. I really liked this story, but it's just... Sad... ;_; |
