I honestly thought those ashes belonged to the missing queen. Why would Afton go to visit Arrol?

Wow, this story is amazing.

I really enjoy how you write. You have these serious sentences, and suddenly, something hilarious pops up, like how Alec stuck a beetle to Jane's hair clip, or how Alec, a vampire, managed to step on a Gopher.

I really enjoy how you treat the attitudes and capabilities of each of the vampires. I think that a lot of people have trouble with exactly how powerful Demetri's talent is, and, therefore, don't utilize it enough. I also really like the horrifying idea of the nothingness that comes from Alec's talent.

Anyway, Alec is by far my favorite Volturi member, and I am really hooked onto this story. I hope that you continue writing so that I can find out what happens next. It's really exciting how you write, because you have a lot of development of the canon characters.

For example, while Alec is my favorite, I really enjoy how you write Jane. How Jane is pampered and hasn't really interacted with that the lower classes and, therefore, has a bit of a romantic view of life is really interesting. I was also really impressed with the development of being buried alive, which I think is a really interesting development for Jane, being stuck in a situation that she's never been in before, which has a horrifying aspect that could actually be considered worse than Alec's gift of numbing because all she can feel is the relentless passage of time, the crushing weight of the earth, and the steady increase in the burning of her throat. How it's even a small consolation to be able to tell that she's upside down, and when she's finally free, she feels like a little girl again, because it's been centuries since she's been that helpless.

What I love most is how much Jane cares for Alec as a twin. It was really interesting to me in particular, that Jane feels like she has a kind of psychic connection with Alec, which could just be knowing him extremely well and knowing exactly what he'd do in a situation, rather than anything supernatural. And it devastates Jane to not be able to know where he is. How she's buried alive, but the first person that she thinks of is Alec.

Anyway, I know you're probably tired of reading my review at this point, but I finally finished reading through all of the available stories labeled 'Alec', and I definitely found this to be the best. I hope you keep up your amazing writing.
