Favorite paragraph in this one:Because this was Steve Rogers they were talking about, a quiet kid from Brooklyn, who didn't quite understand that he was perfectly allowed to freak out once in a while; who calmed the breakdowns but didn't have them; who gave out comfort like the parents they never had but desperately wanted, yet closed up like a wounded animal when someone offered to return it. Look up Hemsworth, Taika Waiting and Tom Hiddleston napping. It is a great photo. |

Imagine finally understanding in your gut Captain American was not only just a kid from Brooklyn, but a 23 year old parenting, leading, protecter of a scientist green monster, two assassin, one which was a female more cobra than human, a billionaires (more money than Steve knew existed) and a Norse god he had assumed was a real as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny on a Tuesday when he had been fighting a Nazi on Monday and fighting alien monsters the next day. Question: Could Falcon, Sam Wilson fit into the family residing at Stark/Avenger Tower? What letters he would write home to his mother! |
| Teyerin chapter 1 . 9/21/2019 I wouldn't call this a crappy one-shot at all. I like the hint of Clint's paternal side - it's a nice bookend/flip accompanying the start of the story. The sleeping habits of the others is definitely plausible and easy to see. |
