You know, for a while, I was struggling to recognize what this chapter made me feel. Then, I realized it just reminded me of the times when I was a teenager and had to take care of my family's friend's kids when they visited. As in, some kids were charming and easy to amuse, while others were mentally draining, even if they were good kids and meant well.

Rip is seriously giving the vibes of the latter category. Plus the added creep bonus since, you know, the whole vampire thing.

I mean, at least her social circle is expanding?

Oh, yay! You're back! Oof, having to change plans you had already made is so much work, but it's great you came up with something at last. Especially because that cliffhanger in chapter 35 was sooo illegal. I was dying to know what happened next.

Alrighty, so Amelia and Alucard definitely goofed up that last time, and now there will be a hella lot of consequences as a result. I'm really curious about the Captain's mood, tho. Why the heck is he so angry? (Well, aside from being stabbed and nearly having Alucard spiriting our girl away). Like, is he mad that Amelia's kidnapping would have meant Millennium's failure? Was he pissed because he was almost bested? Or was the risk of her being taken away the thing that ticked him off by itself? (Lol, I'm definitely shipping this too much). Maybe some sort of combination? Or could there be another reason? Regardless, I sure as heck felt nervous for Amelia when he got so mad. Jesus.
