anna chapter 1 . 9/17/2014 This and it's Prequel is amazing! Just fantastic! |
ntalcenent chapter 1 . 7/3/2014 Just listening to Smashing Pumpkins earlier today - good song - good story. |
mauralee chapter 1 . 1/1/2011 Brilliant. Heartbreaking and hopeful and just...really, so very, very good. |
Aiwendil1 chapter 1 . 3/2/2009 Very well written and a wonderful idea in itself. I really liked the fact that Harry doesn't heal directly from the time spent in Askaban. And although I've read quite a lot of Askaban-Fics, I never stumbled over one where Harry decides that he has to stay there in order to atone for his sins, even if the rest of the wizarding world would have gladly let him go freely. The idea of him feeling guilty for killing, even if it was 'only' Peter, seems very much in character. Thanks a lot! I liked the way Snape and Harry circle each other, both not completely sure what they want and even less sure about the intentions of the other. They do fit and their relationship has a lot more equal stand than most I've read with this pairing. It's believable that they'll be good for each other and be able to fight the demons of their pasts together. Wonderfully done! Thanks a lot for this, ai |
Mikee chapter 1 . 6/20/2005 Wonderful story. I really like how you characterized Harry and Severus. I especially like that you didn't have Harry 'heal' overnight, as it were. This followed "Breaking the Heart of Darkness" very well. . Thank you for a great read. |
Harri chapter 1 . 3/11/2004 A very nicely written story. Much better than the prequel actually. *sigh* It's a sad story with a nice ending. No sequel please. Any sequel would only ruin the story 'coz I don't want to read about any actions or reactions from the others (Black and Weasel in particular). I felt very much dissatisfied with 'Breaking the Heart of Darkness' but I think this story somehow made up for it. |
Enahma chapter 1 . 2/3/2004 This is not the first time I read this story, and I'm a little bit saddened that it didn't receive more reviews. It's a very well-written story, like its prequel or whatever, one of the first slash stories I've ever read. I like it very much, and even though more than a year passed since its being written, I want to thank you for writing it! Enahma |
Yxonomei chapter 1 . 9/9/2003 Poignant and beautiful with enough light to balance out the darkness lurking beneath. |
sven chapter 1 . 4/2/2003 WOW I LOVE YOUR WRITTING READ MANY OF YOU FICS AND HAVE NOT SUBMITED A REVIEW SORRY |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/13/2003 You seem to like Smashing Pumpkins |
chrisseee667 chapter 1 . 1/7/2003 That was excellent! I actually saw a part of this fic at SnapexHarryML, and then I came back here to FF.N to read the prequel, which I loved and I don't know why I didn't review it. I love this one-shot. Keep it up! |
glimmer chapter 1 . 1/3/2003 That was beautiful. It is always the beautiful and happy ("happy" in this case being relative) that makes me get all teary-eyed. You show a true understanding of emotions. There is no "I forgive you for the hell you have put me through so now lets live happily ever after"; your story is far more real and (I'm pleased to say) far more... well, just plain better. Keep up the good work! |
Danu40k chapter 1 . 12/23/2002 (Doing my best Oliver Twist impersination) Please my we have more? |
Gryph1 chapter 1 . 11/10/2002 Beautiful, powerful fic, Tubesox. I was moved by it and its prequel. The humanity and pain you infuse in each of your characters is touching- Sirius's unwillingness that it be his fault, Harry's insistence that he pay and take the blame for Pettigrew's death, and Severus's fear of loneliness. The Tennyson quotes are lovely. Strangely enough, I actually had that Smashing Pumkin song, Disarm, in my head when I read this, before I reached the end- did you insert bits of lyrics or just really write from that song? |
