This is truly one of the most underrated fanfics. A precious gem that was supposed to be with other gem but was thrown into metal and steel parts. Not only you were able to make this a bit adultery, but you were also able to make Mai a more likeable and lovable person. Damn...this is absolutely beautiful!

I'd like to Dragon Ball Z husband of mines I know you're probably not right in the stories anymore cuz I asked you once before but I want to thank you for writing the story is very well. And I don't think the couch was OCC it was not out of character for the individual I think actually the couch is very human you bring out the human equation side of the personality that most people don't see in Dragon Ball Z and Goku if you realize he hurts someone would actually be like that so I don't I don't think you gave me something up Goku is now she is kind of his wife is but I think you did an awesome job with the story you brought up the side of humanity that people don't see in the characters you should do some others like this no not that but show the side of the of the villain that most people don't see not everyone starts out of the bad guy somewhere along the line is still goodness in them it's something before yet we always let's punish the criminal and they make them suffer but where's the chance of redemption who are Revenge driven Society vengeance is about making yourself feel better Justice is about balance out the equation we sometimes blow them in the Justified use Vengeance in the name of Justice where's the chance of redemption we asked ourselves yes some people can't be with deems it is true but it won't hurt to try and that is a problem falling apart become a vengeful Society seeks Justice to means of Vengeance and death penalty I personally think there are some people who deserve a chance of redemption at least attempt to try because we don't they were no better than them Gandhi once said eye for an eye and we'll all blind too busy Pokemon eyes the realize what we're doing so I did like you stole it had a nice lessons to it you have a great 4th of July and no spike in the fruit punch

I come back and read this every now and again. It's a really nice all round short story, gives soul to the characters and IMO quite touching. You introduced an adult side to DB (consequences of Goku's violence, Mai's backstory, a bit of adultery) without wrecking the fun of the original and that is not easy to do. Congrats for writing the only english Mai story on the site, shame there aren't some more but since this is so good, it'll do :)

Please consider writing a sequel or an alternative universe story where Goku chose Mai instead of Chichi; she doesn't get nearly as much love as she should, either in canon or fanfiction! Great story!
