Grace is easily my favorite OC of all of the fanfics I've read! You write her so beautifully and real while also stay true to Daryl's character, too. I love what you've done with Merle's character as well as the dynamic between him and Grace. This is probably my 3rd-4th time reading these stories all the way through. Hoping to see a 3rd part one day! You're an amazing writer!

Maybe you should say in your summary that this is not really about any characters in the walking dead just chapters about some xxharaxter you made up. No one cares about it

I really enjoyed this fic and its prequel. I love Grace and your Daryl and Merle. Grace and Daryl's relationship was very real and beautiful too, how they made it work. The way you portrayed Merle and contrasted him with Shane really struck me. The what-if scenario where Merle stays with hte group and how this plays out is a very nice detour from the original storyline. The contrast between Shane and Merle, how they both change due to 'the end of the world as we know it' really made this fic so much more original to me. I like Merle as a character, and the potential he holds. I think you made really good use out of him :)

I really hope there will be a third part. I understand your reasoning to only post when you have all or most of it written. Whatever happens, I want to thank you for sharing the first two parts with us readers!

I absolutely love how you pieced together conversations from different episodes and made them all fit together here at the end. And during the herd scenes/chapter I caught myself shivering even though I wasn't cold, I was just so anxious for everyone.
