SlightlyOdd13 chapter 1 . 8/30/2013 Oh my gawd! That was amazing! Definitely one of the best fanfics I have ever read! Blood curtling description too. Your writing is fantastic! |
Shizuku Tsukishima749 chapter 1 . 5/29/2013 OOH! I want to see more! Does this mean they died? That's the vibe I got, but I hope not! T_T This was really good, though! Loved it! :D Rock on! *U* |
a Tale with Ears chapter 1 . 12/14/2012 0.0 WHAT HAPPENS?! |
Kittyclaw chapter 1 . 7/14/2012 WHAT. WHAT. ... WHAT. Shadows, this is brilliance, legit brilliance. The house you've created is so amazing, with all these books everywhere and all the wood. You can almost imagine it as something that was once lovely. And yet you look closer and the books are all weird and the house is crumbling and ugh, it's that kind of second-look-creepy. And then the paper clippings! I love how it's just enough info to know someone's crazy and it's not Odd or Lita, but it's also really vague, leaving you feeling out of the loop the way those two would be feelings. AND THAT CLIFFHANGER. Good lord that's a doozy. Beautiful and brilliant, as always. |
Soul Jelly chapter 1 . 7/14/2012 ARGH, AWESOME. The other reviewers are right; you rock at writing suspense. I loved the build-up, and the tense moments coupled with perfect Odd-Aelita banter. As always, your writing is so much fun to read. |
Sartruce chapter 1 . 6/29/2012 I love how you started this out, very appropriate for the mood of the story! However, you also interspersed the tone with bits of humour from Odd and Aelita and I really enjoyed their banter. I'm partial to Oddlita myself so it was entertaining to see them together. Their chemistry shows in your writing. You also write great suspense. I think it's really important to have a sense of finality, even if it's for a challenge at a forum, and that last line was just perfect. Pacing is also very important in building up the suspense, and I felt like you did a great job in that. No overly long descriptions, to awkward dialogue, just smooth sailing all the way. All in all, fantastic job with the characterisation, suspense, and the pacing! Hope to see more great writing from you. |
Cha-Cha-Cheesecake chapter 1 . 6/29/2012 Oh dear god, that was frightening. *A* There's a piece of advice for you, kiddies - never go into a creepy guy's abandoned house when there is thunder, wolves and owls lurking around. /runs I don't want to give too much away in this review in case somebody reads the reviews before the story itself (sounds a bit weird but I know people who actually do that...) but yes, this was an absolutely fantastic story. I was slightly terrified by it, and the line "We won't go down without a fight, right?" reminded me of this awesome film I once saw called The Grey, which was about people who survived a plane crash and ended up being killed by wolves (coincidence? /shot)... it too had a cliffhanger ending a little like this one. I know people don't often like others comparing their work to something else, so I'll stop now. All I'm trying to say is, this is an absolutely fantastic story and I really enjoyed reading it! |
Selica Leone chapter 1 . 6/29/2012 woah, creepy Shadows. that was definately one of the freakiest fics I've read in a long time. you definately know how to write eerie, creepy, suspense filled fics. |
