god, i can’t remember when i discovered this fic— it must have been at least five years ago— but it still makes me cry like a baby. this story has always stayed in my mind, and i thought after growing up a bit that it would have less of an affect on me, but i was wrong. thank you for this beautiful piece of writing. i had to DIG to find this fic, but i’m so glad i did. if you ever see this comment, please know that you’re an amazing writer.

Heartbreaking! I...I can't!

This was heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. Too easy to believe as well- between the hijacking and all the times his heart stopped in the games, Peeta was far from healthy at the end of the war.
