librarywitch chapter 1 . 10/21/2013 And so the healing begins. Well done. I know you get tired of hearing what fantastic author you are and how well you have this universe down pat. Well, get used to it, you are great! |
Lady Heliotrope chapter 1 . 7/22/2012 What on earth have I been missing by not having you in my world? This was beautiful! |
HOS70 chapter 1 . 7/16/2012 This was very beautiful. Your description of Sherlock not able to resist the violin, even completely against his rational wishes. "His traitor mind had allied itself with his hands." Sherlock's mind and body insisting on taking up their old, favourite past-time again. I hope this will start off the healing process. The other two people in Sherlock's life, John and Mrs H, grieving for the loss of music, the loss of an integral part of Sherlock, was so touching. Your line of Sherlock "not even having a conversation with the John who lived in Sherlock's head" was inspired. |
staceuo chapter 1 . 6/27/2012 What can I say my lovely Scopes? To steal another's title this is a staggering work of heartbreaking genius. The world is a better place for having you and your beautiful writing in it. Xxx Stace |
AGirloftheSouth chapter 1 . 6/26/2012 **Sigh** I love this. I love that the 'need' to play finally overcomes Sherlock. In my head the music fills the house like a light fog, slowly reaching out to each and every person. This strikes me as the first step forward for Sherlock, and while there is a lot of darkness a head of him, at least it's a change. This whole thing reminds me of the song the Sound of Silence. The overwhelming feeling of nothingness is so apparent here. And yet the sad music magically carries with it a sense of hope. I'm not sure this makes much sense, but I loved this so much. Thank you for it and for making this birthday particularly awesome all around. |
Catt42 chapter 1 . 6/26/2012 Simply Beautiful! I love the line 'not even having a conversation with the John who lived in Sherlock's head.' I thought it was brilliant that John hears silence and is resigning himself to the fact that nothing is changing & then he hears Sherlock's violin playing melancholy music which makes him happy... Thankyou for writing something new for this story collection & I look forward to more .. soon? |
Rairakku1234 chapter 1 . 6/26/2012 Beautiful. 'Who knew silence could be so deafening? That it could swallow sounds and leave him with nothing but the looping track in his mind that ran in endless circles until he'd become so used to it that it was nearly impossible to remember ever thinking of anything else.' So much pain and sadness, without using those words. '...staring at nothing, not even having a conversation with the John who lived in Sherlock's head.' Wonderful how much more angst you convey with these few words. plus a lovely concept, the John in Sherlock's head. 'She rested her hands on the banister, closed her eyes, and listened to the mournful sound, warm tears slipping down to trace the edges of her smile.' Oh Mrs. Hudson. Lovely one-shot, just lovely, Rairakku |
jhgufuihpuop chapter 1 . 6/26/2012 Loved this. Was hoping we would get this scenario. Loved that it was in the three perspectives. Thanks for this. |
Cataclysmic Disaster chapter 1 . 6/26/2012 So nice to see something new from you. I'm going through withdrawal, I tell you! haha no but seriously this was so lovely, aw. And once I realized where it fit in with the story, because Sherlock had stopped playing violin... so happy to hear him pick that back up n_n |
