*blinks in astonishment* I haven't read a Nimueh fic before, and I'm stunned by what you have here. It was so powerful, and it was really interesting seeing Nimueh as something more than a villain and seeing just when it was that Uther cracked. So good and tear-jerking. :)

Wow. That was so powerful that I needed a few moments to just sit back and breathe. I have no words to describe how amazing that was. I felt everything Nimueh felt, and everything Uther felt. This is the story that finally explained to me how Uther could have ever been friends with a sorceress, and how he could have ever been a great king, and where it all went wrong. Every sentence was amazing, every word drew me in. Incredible job, as always.

I must say, this is a particularly powerful story! I really liked the corrolation between this one and the chapter 5 of your Smoke and Mirrors story. It was a good continuation,even though the plot was different to what I expected, you pulled it off quite well.

I really liked how you portrayed Nimueh as a character who should be pitied, or who we should empathise with. Most people see her as a flat villian, but she realy has so much more depth than that, which you delved quite well into.

I think you also portrayed the grief of both Nimueh and Uther very well; it seemed really quite realistic, so well done, it's quite hard to get that powerful emotion to translate from your own head to the printed page (or computer screen, in this case).

Great effort, I love the story idea, and keep writing! :D
