Reviews for You Only Live Twice
Fenris Jin chapter 2 . 5/12
Great story. It feels really sad that Aang had to lose the GAang. It's like recovering one family and losing another.

Anyway, I enjoy your take on Aang being a fully realized Avatar the traditional and 'balance' friendly way. Canon as it is, being the last airbender will not allow him to be the representation if balance, not if he wants to revive the Air Nomads.

Just wondering though, if Roku and Sozin were technically 'soulmates', who would have been Sozin in Aang's natural lifetime?
KillgarraghForever chapter 2 . 2/22
Wow. That was honesty stunning.
EndlessHax chapter 2 . 2/15
I like this, it doesn’t portray Sozin as some sort of totally evil creature and it seems somehow more realistic than the actual show, which you did capitalise on. It’s just, it seems like Aang doesn’t care that much over how his entire reality, all of his feelings and relationships were a guise for a test. He didn’t seem to care enough that he had been sent away from a place where he had actually won and had made lifelong friendships to the past/his time, to fight another firelord. To fight the same war, again. Sure he was sad about Katara, and probably was even sadder offscreen, but it wasn’t the major thing that would actually happen. I mean, he was already ripped away from a world he knew but to have that happen again? Sure, it was a time where he was actually from but he was older, literally, and to be sent back to a place where he was just a child that ran away? Truthfully, I think that, if this were more than a two-shot, then there would be a large part of this where Aang was looked down-upon by the monks or thought unnatural by those he used to know. Either way tho, ‘tis good, I think this idea just makes me inspired. I like how he has to actually get to learn about the cultures he is learning bending from, it makes more sense than just learning how to bend. Idk, a lot of the things in this just make sense, like the bit with the life transcending friendship and the part with airbending warriors. I’ve never really thought about what They would use as weapons and a bow and arrows would actually be as terrifying as you’ve made it. Maybe even more. Anyhow, I’d love to see a more fleshed out version of this but I’m impressed either way.
Doctor Lovegood chapter 1 . 10/6/2019
Wow, just wow. This was amazing and just perfect. I wish it was longer, but at the same time I don't want to change anything about it!
SolarSolstice chapter 2 . 7/23/2018
I loved this story! It's so hard to find a good AU of Aang not running away/being trapped in ice for 100 years. I hope you consider writing a sequel.
Guest chapter 1 . 4/6/2018
This... THIS IS A DAMN GOOD FANFICTION!
Dare I say it is probably the best I have ever read and I have read a lot in the past 7 years. (Since I began reading fanfics)

My first thoughts, of this this story was it is going to start off really good and then go down hill from there. But to my surprise you actually kept it real and showed the true affects Aang and the rest if the nation's would go through and showed how it changes you for better or for worse.

Loved the ending 100%, didn't see it coming, which made it even more enjoyable!

You are a fantastic writer, don't ever stop writing!

Elmund9 chapter 2 . 7/16/2016
I always like political/social fics. You know, the ones that create places and people with their own cultures and affairs.

Then there is the writing, every paragraph, every word, everything had a meaning that helps to build not only the world, but Aang.

Aang, I loved all that he did. His turmoils and maturity were amazing and at the end, there is this big sense of achievement.

It's an amazing fic.
Beloved Daughter chapter 2 . 12/17/2015
Another absolutely brilliant story. You have a true talent for weaving narratives. Thank you for writing and posting this short story.
Guest chapter 2 . 10/28/2015
"even with the legitimate rein" reign
"I suppose I've never given it any though," thought

A good story.
Guest chapter 1 . 10/28/2015
"reign in" rein in. It's a horse-riding idiom.

I like the concept.
GalanthaDreams chapter 2 . 9/25/2015
It made me unbearably sad but it also made me smile, though it was bittersweet.
Ankan1407 chapter 2 . 1/28/2015
Great two-shot
xyz chapter 2 . 4/14/2013
Weeeell... but doesn't chi mean a form of energy? And those with another energy generally live much longer than others. Kyoshi was 250 years old! So, the stronger a bender, the longer he lives, unless he is killed off. Logical? I think so. And it was just meant as a heartfelt critique, and not any attack, or something. I think that this 'story' is very creative and fits.

Thanks for writing it!
ChampionElCid chapter 2 . 3/22/2013
I like it.

A well put together story and an interesting idea at that. I can find nor real faults to complain of save for one.
I guess for all intents and purposes the story is over but how interesting would it be if you continued it? Now that Aang has stopped the war from spreading what will change?
Might he instead marry Katara's Grandmother?
Will Iroh become Fire Lord instead of Oazi?
How about the dragons. Will he save them from extinction?
Will he survive until the time of the series and meet some people he already knew?

I think these are questions that could be explored, but for what we got I'll admit it was good.

Sandra Phillips chapter 2 . 9/29/2012
A very interesting plot - brief, but well-developed. A few small grammatical errors that may have simply been typos here and there, but nothing too distracting. Plausible and a good-read. :)
