Wow... in all my almost 11 years of reading fanfic, I’ve never read one that so perfectly encapsulates the feelings I’m currently going through. One that I could relate to on such a deep level. My ex and I broke up because he’s a workaholic with huge lofty dreams for us, and I just wanted to be happy with him. Obvi you can’t really be mad at someone for wanting to build a great future for the both of you, but like you wrote, I was scared he wasn’t gonna be there to share it with me. We had other problems too (I’m no saint) and we’re not together any more, but it was so so SO comforting and soothing to read these conflicting emotions of guilt, love, loneliness and self-loathing because it really made me feel less crazy and alone in my problems. So THANK YOU for writing this beautiful little piece xx

I loved this - and although it's not finished I think we know where it was headed. It would have been interesting to see though. I'm glad Edward called her on not asking to help - I wondered about that -although I get where she was coming from before but it would be good if they worked on this together. This is so good...just found it. You've made it so realistic and yet it is not dragging. I especially love how you've been able to represent both of their perpectives in such a balanced way. Particularly Edward. He's not just shown as a workaholic but you let us see what he's working toward, the pressures and specifics involved in his work. It's refreshing. And Bella as well. Her hurts and her failures, such as never asking how she could help him. Very well done!
