I'm so? This is so sweet and touching, and it's so fitting that Albus Severus would "get" Albus the First's phoenix. I have so many feelings about Al and who he is, even though we know next to nothing about him. I love your Dad!Harry. I'm running out of things to say, but I truly do adore this.

There is something so sad about pets having to go on once their human's have passed. The idea that Fawkes would find a new home with a boy of the same name is just, ridiculously sweet (in a good way).

Second time reading this story, and it's didn't lose any of its sweetness.

this is utterly charming! So Harry is married and grown up, I tke it, and his eldest is a bullying, charming creep? (This reviewer really wanted an intervention...somebody needs to make James more accountable for his worst characteristics...) But the young protagonist is lovely, and the loyalty he compels from the bird and the family retainer is great.
