Lovely story. Nathan is right, living a half- life is not living, just take a day at time.

The story is lovely and what he'd say to his children-beautiful to the point of tears if I was Audrey.

Great Story! It's very understandable why they would prefer to adopt, but aren't dismissing the idea of having a little Audrey or Nathan. Audrey's worries about disappearing with the Troubles is also a major factor in the decision to have children. I loved how Nathan silently referred to Audrey as his wife. And,his words of what he would tell their future children about their mother were perfect. But, he is right about a life lived in fear is a life half lived. So, they just take it one day at a time.
