I love this. I love this. I love this. Remus Lupin is my favorite character in the series, and you have handled him gently and wisely. I wish this conversation had happened. I don't think Rowling utilized either Remus or Sirius as much as she could have. Thanks for doing it for her.

Strangely enough, I like your author's note almost as much as the story. It shows you've put a lot of thought into the characterization of the story and the dynamics of the relationships Rowling wrote. I appreciate that in a writer.

Aww...this was just so sweet it gave me cavities. I think it would have made a whole world of difference to Harry if this had actually occurred, truth be told. I'm glad you wrote this, and I would have to agree with on the fact that you did keep it in canon. I've always wanted Remus take on a more important role in Harry's life in the books, especially after Sirius died. I mean, he really meant a lot to Harry in his third year, so I would think he would take a more important role. It's sad how Harry gets to spend very little time with many of his parental figures. Well done. :D

So bittersweet. It is being added to my collection of oneshots that I consider canon.
However, Harry did tell Remus & Sirius – or tried to anyway – about Snape kicking him out of Occlumency. Near the very end of the Floo conversation in the Careers Advice chapter.
And I had to sigh in annoyance/ sadness when Remus talks about bedding & not pushing away your friends. I mean, how many days later does he push away Dora and withdraw into himself?

I wish this had happened in the books. Harry certainly needed this. He just needed to let go for a moment, with some he could trust completely. This is absolutely beautiful, just like your other Harry/Remus stories and I really hope you write more.
