I've really enjoyed this series, you've breathed a lot of life into the characters, where most stories would choose to focus on their sixth and seventh years. Particularly, it's given a lot of depth to the relationship between James, Lily and Severus - not just being focused on the growth in the relationship of the first two, but also the tension in this dynamic and how it intersects with other characters (e.g. Mulciber, Avery, Regulus and Sirius).

Rochefort has been quite a compelling villain, whose schemes have done well to reflect the troubled state of the magical world, which then feeds back into the tensions between those still at Hogwarts. Him being another layer between James and Voldemort also makes it even more severe and intense when Voldemort does come to confront them directly. I dare say his schemes have also been a good excuse for the narrative to flesh out James' parents more, especially James' dad.

It's going to be a really painful and evocative scene when James loses his parents - they've really grown on me as a reader from Mr Potter's presence during investigations early, to the attack on their home, near death experience when James cut off Rochefort's hand, Spinners' End. Even the small detail like the photo taking at Platform 9 3/4 at the start of each school year is going to be a real whammy if they die before James graduates. This latest chapter being really intense and well-written when Remus confronts Sirius gives me strong confidence that you'd paint that scene with great justice.

Lots more I could say, like how the 4th year combat challenge was quite an interesting idea, lots of parallels to Harry's own experiences with the Triwizard Tournament, including being whisked off somewhere at the very end. It did seem quite focused on conflict with the Slytherins, but you definitely did try to sprinkle in some bits with Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs to try and mix it up.

But anyways, I'm sure you've been really busy, especially in such times, and the young children at home being underfoot more frequently. In such circumstances, it's obvious where your priorities are, but when time comes, I'm sure many would agree with me that they'd love to read more of what you've dreamt up in the rest of the James Potter Chronicles.

I started my review by saying that you've been quite singular in embarking on traversing the length of James' studies at Hogwarts, with plenty of fresh material to try and paint a richer picture. With the writing being excellent as it is, it'd be quite amazing to one day see the completed work in its entirety. Cheers.

So apparently you have ruined Marauder era fic for me, because I now cannot read any others without comparing them to your stories and just deciding to reread the James Potter Chronicles! Anyone else having this problem?! Seriously though, if there is anything we can do to inspire you to start writing again, let us know! You have many devoted fans of this story out there!

I absolutely love this story and I hope you are doing well. The likelihood of you finishing the series may not be very good since it's been a few years, but I really hope you'll finish it! Tbh, if this was a book (which it very well could be), I would buy all of them so fast. Please consider finishing the story!

Where to even begin... I have been binging the James Potter Chronicles for a week straight to finish them! No fanfiction I have ever read has ever been more in the spirit of the characters and original story than this one. Not only is it official cannon in my head, it is just as good if not actually better, than the original HP series. The way you wrote the characters, especially James and Serious, just made the stories come alive. I can't imagine why you stopped writing the series, I hope everything is ok in your personal life. All I can do is beg you to continue on with my favorite fanfiction I have ever read in my entire life!

This point in the Marauders timeline has always been a standout to me, and I always felt like it was what led to that incident at the tree during the OWLs. My best guess has always been that somehow Snape managed to communicate that Remus was a werewolf to the other Slytherins, if they didn't already know, and they did something to Remus, after all, Snape was only sworn never to mention the events of the night, not that Remus is a werewolf, quite a vast difference, and a loophole Snape would gladly take advantage of.

And I know this is late of me, but my apologies for your loss, I know the pain losses like that can cause.

Alice Dearborn, a deep well ocean of knowledge and wisdom, but some of those words are about to be put to the test.

Once again James shows ACTUAL character development, and Snape shrinks even further.

A passionate, emotional, and heavy chapter there...

But I do agree with James, Lily is being unbelievably unreasonable.

This, this right here is why I hate Snivellus with all of my being, he is one of the worst, most manipulative, and pathetically idiotically worthless Slytherins that has ever walked the halls of Hogwarts, and every time he gets his ass handed to him, I cheer. People always complain that he's had it worse than anyone because of his Dad, Sirius had an ENTIRE FAMILY torturing him for years, and he never went out an shacked up with a murderous dictator, hell, even grew a spine, something snivellus never had.

I have bookmarked every singe battle scene you have written in this series, because Man? They are fucking brilliant!

And Frank's gonna be pissed he missed another brawl, ;)
