I have never seen Monk as the brotherly type. In fact, I've found that he's very attracted to Mai and would rather place himself with her than Ayako like everyone has canon.

Even the series doesn't truly place them as canon. Nor is there mentions of brotherly love.

This was so sad though. Naru is obnoxious but I blame it on his age and pragmatic attitude. This was a pleasant change

This is really well written. Aside from a few mistakes, which I'm pretty sure autocorrect is to blame for. Please, please, please write a sequel! I really want to see Monk and Mai get together! :)

Aw Monk, he's so lovable, the story was a bitter sweet in a good way, I feel like Monk deserves more than to just be stuck as the guy who watches the girl he loves get hurt by some other guy, they should end up together, they would both be happier, but with this story it leaves a certain impression that it was sad and not satisfied because no one really ends up happy, but it also leaves it like ther is so much more that could happen later, but yeah the best way to describe it would be bitter sweet. I enjoyed reading this, it kinda reminds me of myself.

wow i really liked this story it was cute. but i was sad for monk at the end... well that is to be was very refreshing in a way as well. i've thought of doing a mai/monk story before but i was always to afraid to do one. maybe i'll give a go at it... i dont know...

btw i dont usually review on may lemons but because this is the first pairing of mai/monk and it was good i thought i would... anyways loved it and i hope you continue to write more mai/monk
