excessivelyperky chapter 12 . 2/9 No Levitation spells? Neville hasn't learned to summon a stretcher yet? He'd better learn them both, and teach his friends, because he and the other students will likely need them the next term. But I'm glad that Neville did what he could-but he could have done better. Even Sirius didn't drag Snape along in PoA. Neville not hurting someone when he's down? He'll have to turn in his Gryffindor badge if anyone found out that's how he really feels, but good for him that he does. Very good chapter, and at least Neville knows enough not to ask too many questions. |
excessivelyperky chapter 11 . 6/24/2019 Neville is learning a lot about Snape, and vice versa-and both have little chance of surviving the war and know it. Yes, the Sword of Gryffindor will prove to be very important, especially to Neville. |
Guest chapter 13 . 6/2/2019 I always return to re read and hope u may continue one day |
kenmadragon chapter 13 . 1/12/2019 Just re-read this after a long time, and I'm still blown away by this story. Seriously hope you consider coming back to it because it is amazing and the lack of closure is painful! Please continue this story! I'll beg if I have to! |
Savannah chapter 13 . 9/29/2018 I really liked it, thank you |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/18/2018 Ohhh this was such a brilliant read. It is dark and kind of twisted and the characters are so in character. I don't think I've ever read a Snape mentoring Neville story and I must say I love it. I'm surprised it doesnt have more likes and reviews. I hope the plot bunnies come your way again soon for this story! Thanks for all you've put up so far though |
excessivelyperky chapter 10 . 6/30/2018 Very good chapter, Neville is learning the tools and costs of war so that in the final battle, he can prove himself (and not be dead from angry Carrows). At least Neville has the DA to watch over and to watch over him; but working with him might save Snape's sanity, such as it is. |
excessivelyperky chapter 9 . 4/14/2018 Neville is beginning to understand that Snape's protection of him has a cost, and that for every stupid plan the Gryffindors come up with, that it will only be so long before Snape won't be able to protect them at all. And he's decided to learn all he can for the war, and not just the Gryffindor type of spells, either. |
JSML chapter 13 . 3/31/2018 This fic is fantastic. Simply brilliant. There aren't many out there that expand what Hogwarts was like for the students and for Snape during the 7th year. I hope you update again soon! |
JSML chapter 8 . 3/31/2018 This fic is simply too good! There aren't enough well-written Snape mentoring Neville fics out there and I'm so glad that I found yours. My favorite part about this is that Severus isn't comforting or nice or kind to Neville most of the time. Everything he does is harsh, mean, and a bit cruel. But it's also all done with a purpose and to teach a much needed lesson. It's definitely a very canonically accurate depiction of Snape than a lot of other depictions of him that are out there...and I feel that if Snape HAD taken on a more active role in mentoring either Harry or Neville in the books, it would have looked something close like this. |
Guest chapter 13 . 3/8/2018 Amazing! Thank you for sharing this. I can't wait reading the next chapter. |
Guest chapter 13 . 2/4/2018 Damn this story is awesome. I hope you keep on writing |
Fiona chapter 13 . 1/28/2018 Please update as soon as possible I hope you have an abandon the story! it's a different perspective on the sorry we all know and it's interesting to see this take on what happened at Hogwarts will Harry Ron and Hermione requesting for horcruxes. Keep up the good work |
badgerlady chapter 13 . 12/10/2017 This is an intriguing story, well developed and well written. I'm looking forward to more. That said, I hope you won't mind if I point out a couple of glitches: "It's" with an apostrophe is always a contraction for "it is"; the possessive "its" has no apostrophe. You're misspelling MichAEl Corner (a and e reversed, no i) You're demonstrating one of the best uses of fan fiction-developing an aspect of canon (note single n in the middle) that the author left out. I've seen other treatments of Neville and Snape during that year, but none as realistic and believable as this one. Keep up the good work. |
Guest chapter 13 . 11/25/2017 Update plz man! |
