Poor Star. I hope she feels better soon, but the cliff hanger seems to suggest that might not happen. I'm all on pins and needles now! I like the idea of the confounding spell. I especially like the fact that it's starting to get noticed, because while, like Star pointed out, it's a lot less noticeable than a wall, something like that will get noticed eventually, especially over such a relatively large area. Great work! I look forward to what happens next.

I like that we get to see Luck's soft side. Knowing his character and how acts all like a ruthless mafia. But we all know it's just an act. That and his feelings for Star means even through his suppose to be a big mean malicious gangster he still has heart. That would be great to add to dialogue.

Sometimes, Claire's behavior drives me nuts but at the same time, his loyalty to his "family" astounds me. Still, 'Go lucky' 'Go Lucky'!

Man, you like cliffhangers too much. You've written yet another great chapter and I'm excited to see what happens next.
