Wow this was a really good story. The characters are well written and true to form, the plot is mysterious and had my intrigued untill the very end and of course it had Sam and Jack! All boxes ticked for me. Well done.

Really great job! I've often thought about what happened offscreen in that ep. Most fics I've read concentrate on using it as an opportunity for some SJ action (not that I mind that :D) but yours went that step further and enveloped it in a really good, original, creepy story.

I thought it was a great idea relating SJ's feelings back to the events of "Beneath the Surface". It made their situation more believable. Having said that, realistically I don't think they would have let themselves get so carried away because, let's face it, they are SOOO good at self-control (dammit). Not to say I didn't love it anyway. If TPTB won't give us our SJ happy ending, we have no choice but to do it for them. :D

I suspected Loren early on but then kept doubting that suspicion because he was crying and obviously upset about the voices saying they were going to kill him. Even though he had been showing a pattern of behaviour up to that point that indicated he may be responsible, it didn't occur to me at first that he was that severely mentally unbalanced. So nicely done, keeping me guessing!

My favourite bits:
* Daniel and Jack's conversation on the beach where Jack admits he loves Sam (awww). I could clearly see that one happening. Good characterisation.
* "I appreciate that, Carter, but that was before there was panty snatching ghosties in our midst". Very funny. And so, Jack.
* SJ getting it on - whew! Hot! I liked the fact that they were running around half-clothed beforehand.
* The ending - I liked how Sam still heard a whisper indicating things might not be completely over...

This one kept the suspense to the end. And, yes, what did S & J do to pass the time? (Raised eyebrows and a smirk to that question)

This was great! I always felt that something was off with Loren's character too, probably not to the extent here but the way you have written this story is brilliant. I was totally creeped out by what was happening and really didn't think it was Loren doing everything until the end. Wonderful work!

I usually onl review at the end when reading a complete fic. Partly because Im much too curious to know how the story continues.
Well done. It crept me up but I believed the story. And I remember finding something strange about Loren when I watched the episode in question, too. But that also led me to figure he was it a bit early, sadly. You may work on your skills for writing crime but the other stuff was really good and that was the stuff I red it for: the characters.

I'd recommend doing with this what you do with your other stories. T version on regular forum then post M chapter elsewhere. All in though this was A1-Ace Supremo! Stamped, Signed, Approved!
