So sad for T'Pol and Trip. I remember that episode and I was sad because they never got together even thou they loved each other. But I liked how Spock and Kirk named their daughter after T'Pol and Trips daughter.

A Kirk/Spock pairing isn't in my head Canon of Trek-their everlasting friendship has always been the glue that holds ST together for me. But that's not what your story is about really; it was just a small detail. I really loved it. Intense emotions, very well written plus a satisfying ending that brought a pang to my heart. And just the right sized story. Less is more in this case. Truly wonderful.
